The one thing that you gotta know about me is that koala bears are my second favorite animals. They are the most cutest, derpy, innocent and funniest creatures. Besides birds, these guys are my fave!

Did you know that lemurs meow? They make such cute sounds :)

Doodling with Pencil

Wow, I didn't realize how fast I work with pencil especially when I doodle. The smoothness of the pencil just keeps my drawing so fluid and yet textural. Yummy! I really enjoyed it. Now, if only I had a darn scanner to get better quality of them for you guys to see. (Sorry about that).

These were my morning warm-ups.

So this girl here, is a character that the bike girl will run into during the story. Her name is Danni, a major tomboy who loves to fix things that are broken. 

The last two were drawn with pencil and colored with Photoshop.

Cafe Sketchin'

Since I'm back in LA, I went back to my good old sketchin' spot. I think LA always has some interesting people compared to the other places that I've been to. I mean granted I've only been to the east and the midwest, but still. LA beats them all. I usually attract interesting people while I'm sketching, and it amazes me how they aren't afraid to just talk to me. 

So this one lady named, Diana, came up to me today and complimented my sketchbook. Then she told me how she was good friends with the mother of Conrad Buff who was the film editor of Star Wars. 

This guy had beautiful lashes.

"No! I like my chocolate milk, Mom!"

Joyridin'

Bike Girl goin' for a joyride down the canyon. 

She lives her life to the fullest and without fear. One of her life mottos. 

While I was on my flight back to Cali, I saw these beautiful canyons and mountains which I believe were at Arizona. They were absolutely breathtaking and thought they were perfect for my Bike Girl story. So I started doodling to sketch out my ideas and this was one of them. I kept this one fairly simple, so it took me about 5 hours to do.

First Panels

So I've decided that these will be the last panels that I'll be posting for the Bike Girl's first chapter. I got the whole sequence down in my head so hopefully I'll get it out as soon as possible. I also apologize for  the small images of the first 3 panels. I've made them as their own individual images so now you can see it in XXXL size.

Bike Girl's Little Sister

Let me introduce you to another character in my Bike Girl story, which is her little sister named Abby. 

This was actually them 5 years ago, back when Bike Girl was 17, and Abby was 7.

The Bike Girl Story Begins

I've been meaning to start this story or series or whatever you want to call it for awhile now. I wanted to do a story with more action and adventure. I may or may not add dialogue to it. 

Honestly, I love researching and creating the compositions so the process for this is a ton of fun for me.
