The Journey of a Ugandan Orphan

This was an assignment that I had to do about a hero's journey.
I've thought of many other ideas, but I remembered about the civil war at Uganda and decided to base it off of an Ugandan orphan. It's frightening and heartbreaking to listen to the struggles that the children have to bear. Many of them lose their parents by the LRA, AIDS and starvation, and are left to fend on their own. However, I was so touched to see the documentary, "Cinderella Children", and know that there is a woman of God who is willing to sacrifice her life to help these children gain hope for their future, be safe, be fed, and to be loved. I hope that God can continue to send more of His wonderful disciples to be with His children.

"He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,  'Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.'"

-Mark 9:36-37

  2. *Cough* I've been seriously digging your artwork, the smooth gestures and the style overall is appealing! So I've been stalk--LOOKING through your art and when I came across this, that's just awesome! I love seeing things like this showing the sadness of a child's life and then God uses someone to take care of them and stuff it's great! So yes...I like all your work and probably will go back to lurking and stalking but yes! You got really high quality stuff on this blog!
